Important Upgrade Notes

posted Oct 18, 2009
- LANGUAGE SETTING MUST BE SET TO ENGLISH PRIOR TO FLASHING THE SOFTWARE.
- MySetup variable names were changed in 0.9 - you must configure MySetup part of firmware once again after upgrade !
- If your router seems to hang during the upgrade (upgrade progess bar reaching 100%, and upgrade LED is still flashing red, nothing else happens) - wait at least 5-10 minutes before manually restarting the router !
- Do NOT upgrade via remote internet or wireless connection ! Use only wired LAN connection to upgrade your router ! Double check file sizes and MD5 checksums before upgrading!
- ANNEX B releases are NOT tested - we don't have ANNEX B router ...
- Reboot the router before upgrading to make sure it has enough free memory.
- Disconnect all clients from the router before upgrading. Make sure NO wireless clients attempt to associate with the Gateway until the upgrade process is complete.

And finally, as always: if you are afraid of bricking your WAG200, or don't know how to install and use JTAG - DO NOT REFLASH WITH THIS FIRMWARE ! THIS IS EXPERIMENTAL, BETA SOFTWARE !
